Realistic Glowing Watercolor of Dogwood
I stared thinking about this painting in June. Up here we don't get our last snow until the Dogwoods bloom which is in June sometime. So the Dogwoods have kind of a special meaning. I wanted to paint these with glowing colors using pinks, yellows and blues. My first wash the colors came out rather bright, but rather then start over I decided to push forward, I love the end result they are so bright and pretty and a feeling that spring is in the air. This painting is currently showing at the Amador County fair through August 30th.
